Job Title Commercial Manager Club: Poulton FCRole Type: Voluntary / Commission-BasedReports to: Poulton FC Committee About Poulton FC Poulton FC is a community-focused grassroots football club committed to developing players, teams, and the wider club infrastructure. We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking to strengthen our commercial and organisational foundations to support long-term success on and off the pitch. Role Overview Poulton FC is seeking an ambitious and driven Commercial Manager to join the club committee and play a key role in shaping the club’s future. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for grassroots football, strong relationship-building skills, and a desire to make a tangible impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue, developing sponsorships and partnerships, and supporting recruitment across the club’s operational roles. Commission will be paid based on meeting and exceeding agreed targets. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Revenue Generation Identify, approach, and secure club sponsors and commercial partners Develop sponsorship packages for teams, kits, pitch-side boards, events, and digital platforms Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders Explore new revenue streams to support club growth Partnerships & Community Engagement Create mutually beneficial partnerships within the local community Represent Poulton FC professionally at networking events and meetings Support the club’s brand and reputation across the local area Club Growth & Recruitment Support Assist with recruiting key non-playing roles, including: Committee members Team management and coaching support Facilities, operations, and volunteer roles Work closely with the committee to identify gaps and future needs Help build a sustainable structure to support the club’s long-term ambitions Committee Involvement Actively contribute as a member of the Poulton FC Committee Support strategic planning and decision-making Share ideas and initiatives to drive continuous improvement What We’re Looking For A genuine aspiration to be involved in grassroots football Passion for helping a community club grow and succeed Strong communication and relationship-building skills Target-driven mindset with a desire to achieve and exceed objectives Commercial, sales, partnerships, or fundraising experience (desirable but not essential) Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently Alignment with the values and ethos of Poulton FC What We Offer Commission-based earnings linked to meeting and exceeding agreed targets A genuine opportunity to shape the future of a grassroots football club Committee-level involvement and influence Flexible role that can fit around work and personal commitments The chance to build experience, networks, and a strong community profile How to Apply If you are passionate about grassroots football and want to play a key role in growing Poulton FC, we’d love to hear from you.
