Poulton Football Club recently held its end of season presentation, a night dedicated to celebrating the hard work and achievements of the players and volunteers who contribute to the club’s success.

Chairman Steve Beasley opened the evening by expressing sincere thanks to the volunteers who ensure that the players can focus on football. The following individuals were recognised for their invaluable contributions:

  • Ladies Committee: For their ongoing support in providing food and drinks in the café, enhancing the club’s welcoming atmosphere.
  • Roger, the Groundsman: For his exceptional efforts in maintaining the pitch and facilities.
  • Jason Flackett, Bar Manager: For his excellent management of the bar, contributing to the club’s social life.
  • Dave Sponder, Secretary: For his dedicated administrative work that keeps the club running smoothly.
  • Phil Hardcastle: For his consistent support in various capacities around the club.

Steve Beasley then presented two special awards:

  • Clubperson of the Year: Donna Artis was honored for her outstanding work in photography, videography, social media, and website creation, significantly boosting the club’s online presence.
  • Special Recognition Award: Neil Unsworth received this award for his tireless dedication and contributions to Poulton.

Before handing over to Reserves Manager John Wigglesworth, Steve also thanked Rob Hollowell for his significant contributions to the club and his assistance on the touchline.

Reserves Team Awards

John Wigglesworth, interim Reserve Team Manager, presented the awards.

  • Players’ Player of the Year: Dominik Gil.
  • Reserves Young Player of the Year: Fin Topping.
  • Manager’s Player of the Year: Dominik Gil.

First Team Awards

Dale Azzopardi and Rob Hollowell then presented the First Team awards:

  • Manager’s Player of the Year: Billy McKenna.
  • Young Player of the Year: Will Andrew.
  • Players’ Player of the Year: Jointly awarded to Billy Joyce and Adam Ridings.
