On Saturday 20th September, Poulton FC welcomed back a host of former players for a long-awaited reunion, coinciding with the First Team’s home fixture against Whitehaven AFC.

Despite the wet and blustery conditions outside, spirits were high inside the clubhouse as ex-Poulton players spanning several decades gathered together. Old friendships were rekindled, stories of memorable matches and unforgettable moments were shared, and plenty of pints were raised in celebration of the club’s proud history.

Club Chairman, Steve Beasley, said:

“Poulton 1st team home game versus Whitehaven was played in horrendous weather conditions. This did not deter the ex-Poulton FC players from attending the planned reunion. Watching the game from the comfort of the clubhouse, having a few pints, while reminiscing about the days that they wore the Poulton FC shirt.

As you can see from the photo, the ex-players that attended spanned several decades. It was fantastic to see them all enjoying themselves and hopefully we will see them all again at future games.”

The club would like to thank everyone who came along and made the afternoon such a special occasion. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
