For today’s PLAYER IN FOCUS, we caught up with one of the youngest players at Poulton, Harry Smith, to hear about his time here…

As one of the younger players in the squad, how have you found the step up to senior football so far?

“Stepping up to senior football has been hard but I’ve had massive help from the older lads in the team and the gaffers that has now made me feel more comfortable”

What aspects of your game are you focusing on improving most during training?

“Overall it’s just about being able to be coached and taking information and using it on match days”

Who has been the biggest influence on you in the last two seasons?

“Massive shoutouts to Danny moz and Danny Porter in senior football in my first season. Also having my older brother Dan Smith In the first team giving me guidance and helping me settle in”

Looking ahead, what goals have you set for yourself both teamwise and growing as a player?

“Silverware is every team’s goal at the end of every season but more of a personal goal is getting as many minutes in men’s footy to progress as much as possible”

What do you enjoy the most about Poulton?

“The lads are all together and it’s great banta at training and on a Matchday even if the result doesn’t come our way”
