First Half: The match kicked off with both teams showing there intent from the start. Despite numerous efforts from Poulton, they were unable to equalise before halftime, and the score remained 1-0 as the teams headed into the break. Second Half: The second half saw Poulton Reserves stepping up their game, attempting to play through the thirds more to turn the tide in their favour. Soon after the restart some good link up play earned Poulton a free kick in a dangerous position. Kris Stephens stepped up and hit a superb shot which unfortunately hit the post. In the 55th minute, their perseverance finally paid off as Harrison Poole found the net with a stunning low bending drive. With the score now at 1-1 , Poulton pushed for another goal. However, it was Coppull United Reserves who struck next, reclaiming the lead in the 77th minute after a goalmouth scramble.
