Poulton are excited to announce another signing in the form of young prodigy, Kiefer Finney. Finney joins the FY6ers on a season long loan from Thornton Cleveleys FC. On another signing we spoke to Wigglesworth to get his thoughts, “Kiefer is someone I was hoping to bring in last season but he finally got the game time at AFC Blackpool. He was a target again this season but Thornton was his destination. Eventually this signing became realistic and it was one I wanted to secure. Kiefer is 17 years old and is one of the best young talents around here, and I’m looking forward to adapting him into our squad and guiding his development. Hard hitting and creative he will both help us and improve his game. Whilst the window was shut after Cheetham, the door was always on the latch for Finney. Both are now shut and I’m looking forward to now work with this squad and get the best for this club!” We caught up with Finney on signing for Poulton and he had this to say; “Massively looking forward to being part of Poulton. From what I’ve seen and heard they invest a lot into the younger lads so hopefully they can help me push on and improve. I’m really hoping for a good rest of the season with the lads where I get the game time, show what I’m all about and help the boys win!” Poulton FC face Royton Town FC away in the second round of the Lancashire Shield on Saturday.
